Varrick Grimes

Varrick Grimes is a multifaceted theatre maker with over thirty years of experience ranging from devising performance to stage management, from stilt dancing to lighting and sound, from directing to puppetry from classical theatre to community engaged arts, Personal highlights: being a founding ensemble member of Number Eleven Theatre, teaching at Humber College and initiating the Gros Morne theatre festival. Currently he is exploring new “cultural practices” through the cultivation of macroalgae on Change Islands, NL

Graham Hargrove

Musician in R and J, Fourteenth season. Stratford: Performed as a member of the Stratford Orchestra for many productions as well as several onstage musician roles at the Festival Theatre and at the Tom Patterson Theatre. Elsewhere: Three seasons at the Blyth Festival, most recently as Fred/Musician in the Huron County Christmas Carol 2023. 13 Seasons as percussionist with the Inner Chamber ensemble. Recorded and toured with Lorena McKennitt on the Under a Winter's Moon album and tour (2022) as well as on her Lost Souls album (2018). Training: BMus (University of Victoria) and MMus (University of Toronto) in Percussion Performance. Awards: Dora (2015, Sound Design/Composition) 2nd and 3rd place in the All Ireland Bones Competition (2017,2019).

Áine Schryer-O’Gorman

Áine Schryer-O'Gorman grew up enveloped by the non-profit arts sector, venturing deeper into community arts work as they continue their career as an artist and musician. Áine currently works with Jumblies in many roles, and for World on a String as a fiddle feacher. They have engaged with communities as a fiddle player for 12+ years, worked with Thinking Rock Community Arts for 6+ years, and have a lifelong involvement with AlgomaTrad, an inclusive music and dance camp in North Ontario.  

Ruth Howard

As the founding artistic director of Jumblies, Ruth created multi-phase residencies, large-scale performances, and many other other community-engaged projects. Ruth has also worked as a theatre designer, taught and mentored in many contexts; and won awards for her work. In 2023, she left Jumblies, and continues working as an independent artist and consultant. Her current projects including CarePlay, and Grounds for Goodness.
