In November 2020, Grounds for Goodness undertook a residency at the virtual Downtown Eastside Heart of the City Festival, in partnership with Vancouver Moving Theatre. This 2-week event included:

- premier online performance of a new work, Besa, composed by Martin van de Ven, conceived of by Ruth Howard, choreographed by Michelle Silagy and performed by over 20 artists, musicians and community members.

- work-in-progress performance of another online musical work, composed by Arie Verheul van de Ven, and performed by the Gather Round Singers.

- online creation workshop series for artists from Toronto and Vancouver and Downtown Eastside residents, leading to a performance on zoom and short film.

- story card booths and window gallery displays live in Vancouver,- other online workshops, public talks and panels.
